RentSpree Takes First Prize in BLD Brands Business Model Competition

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA – RentSpree, the real estate tech startup that has streamlined the rental process, announced that it took first prize at the BLD Brands Business Model Competition hosted at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California on April 13.

The event's prize money totaled $15,000, with $8,000 going to RentSpree for first place. Co-founder and COO Michael Lucarelli presented on behalf of RentSpree in front of a panel of four judges, consisting of Kyle Murphy, Mike Sims, Sonya Sepahban, and Kamran Razavi.

Twenty-two companies participated in the competition, which consisted of two rounds. The first round featured a three-minute pitch followed by a one-minute Q&A session, while the final round featured a three-minute pitch with a two-minute Q&A session. The judges chose the top six companies from the first round to advance to  the final round.
