Let's meet Heather Zimmerman
1) Why did you decide to get into real estate?
I had just moved back to LA after being away for several years, and a great mentor and friend I had met in the yoga community was practicing Real Estate. When she caught wind that I was moving back, she recruited me to work for her, and the journey started there!
2) What is one piece of advice that you wished you knew at the start of your real estate career?
One piece of advice is to get comfortable saying, "I don't know." I learn something new every day and am still relatively green in this world of Real Estate. I think your clients and prospects respect you more when you just say, "I don't know!" and then take the opportunity to find the answer and learn something new.
3) Why did you first start incorporating rentals/leases into your business and why do you continue to do so?
I started with leases! They have been a wonderful segue into creating relationships, lead generation for sales, and an excellent way to have a more solid and steady income while developing and growing my career.
4) What can we find you doing when you’re not working?
When I am not working, I practice yoga, spend time with my boyfriend and our dog, hike and relax in Joshua Tree, and cook and eat good food!
