After setting up your free tenant screening account, we’ll provide you with an application link (or ApplyLink) to distribute to prospective tenants. When applicants receive this link, they can complete a rental application, which will generate their tenant screening reports. This is a type of credit score that is specifically designed for tenant screening services from TransUnion. Here are some reasons that a TransUnion ResidentScore is the way to go:
- The ResidentScore uses, at a minimum, the same information that's factored for a FICO Score or any other credit score.
- The ResidentScore analyzes resident records and uses additional rental data tailored for resident screening and rental history, so it’s a better predictor of rental outcomes.
- Traditional credit scores are used to predict the outcome of a loan, not rental performance.

Tenant screening reports expire after 30 days. This is in accordance with TransUnion regulations to protect the applicant's data.
