After creating your free tenant screening account, you will have access to a LeaseLink, that you will then provide to applicants. Once an applicant receives this link, they will be taken to an application that they will fill out which will allow for their tenant screening reports to generate. A property address is required to screen applicants, per TransUnion. While you may not have a specific property in mind, or you may be helping a fellow agent with their listing, we do require a property address be entered in order to collect tenant screening reports. Since we are not a listing site, this information is only shared with the potential tenant so they know the request came from you. It also allows us to connect your account with the potential tenant's account so that you receive their rental application and/or tenant screening reports directly.
It is possible to only request the rental application. When you arrive at the step where you could select tenant screening reports, make sure the only box checked is the Online Rental Application.
This is a type of credit score that is specifically designed for tenant screening services from TransUnion. Here are some reasons that a TransUnion SmartMove ResidentScore is the way to go:

  • The Resident Score uses, at a minimum, the same information that's factored for a FICO Score or any other credit score.

The tenant screening report expires after 30 days after which we no longer have access to it. This is a regulation from TransUnion to protect the applicant's data.
