RentSpree Waives Screening Fees for Displaced California Wildfire Victims

As of Sunday, November 11, there are three major fires currently ablaze in California. In an effort to provide relief for fire victims, RentSpree will again be waiving application fees for victims who need to rent property as a result of forced evacuation and/or property damage from the fires. For those who have not been kept updated, the "Camp" fire started this past Thursday and has already decimated the entire city of Paradise (population 27,000). The total death toll across California has risen to 29. However, over 200 people still remain unaccounted for due to the Camp fire. In addition, this fire has destroyed more than 6,700 structures, most of which were homes. Due to the sheer volume of destruction, the Camp fire is considered the most destructive fire in California history.Turning to Southern California, the "Hill" and "Woolsey" fires are still ablaze after prompting the evacuation of more than a quarter million people across Malibu, Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, West Hills, and more. The Woolsey fire is currently at 25% containment. However, strong Santa Ana winds are expected to continue until Tuesday, which could further impede the fire department. All-in-all, more than 5,000 fire personnel are risking their lives battling the blaze.
