
Applicant Verification Questions

Landlords and agents may request that RentSpree obtain information from references listed by prospective tenants. By doing so, the landlord or agent acknowledges and agrees that RentSpree is acting solely on their behalf and strictly in accordance with the instructions and information they have provided. The following questions may be asked by RentSpree when contacting employers and current or former landlords on behalf of landlords or agents:
1. Employer Questions
- What is your name and position with the company?
- Do you have knowledge about the applicant?
- What is the applicant's job title?
- What was the start date of their employment?
- Can you confirm the total amount of compensation they typically earn each month, including salary, hourly wages, tips, commissions, and bonuses?
2. Landlord Questions
- Can you confirm your name and relationship to the property applicant rented?
- What property did the applicant rent from you?
- What was the monthly rent amount during their tenancy?
- What were the move-in and move-out dates (if applicable)?
- Was the applicant a responsible party on the lease?
- Did they pay rent on time? If not, how often did a late payment occur?
- Did they violate the lease in any way? If so, how?
- Did they engage in any misconduct with regard to the property?
- Finally, would you rent to them again?
